Join Bertie for a detailed look at the shoulder in your Yoga practice. Improve your range of motion and over all mobility. Breath and Bandhas Workshop Sunday 23rd April 11.30 to 2pm

Alex’s third workshop in the Yin-Yang series will focus on the throat centre and chin lock (jalandhara bandha). There will be a recap of both the pelvic floor (mulabhandha) and power centre (uddiyana bandha) threaded through the practice but attention will be given primarily to the cranium, throat and ears. Some yoga experience is required for this workshop. Numbers are limited so please book in advance.

Early morning Spring Yoga – Wednesdays at 7.30am

This is a special drop in class that is running for 10 weeks only from 19th April to the Summer Solstice on 21st June

Make the most of the early morning light by starting your day with an active, warming practice designed to stimulate metabolism and circulation. The class will include sun salutations, fluid vinyasas between standing poses, squats, dynamic forward bends, backbends and select inversions. Start your day feeling warmed, invigorated and light with energised circulation and an open chest and lungs. Harness the natural detoxifying energy of Spring in a class designed to bring you into balance with nature. This is a mixed level practice and modifications will be given for different levels. Please note this class is not suitable for complete beginners and some yoga experience is required.

Yin Yoga class on Tuesdays at 4pm

alex-yin-yang-detox-photoA new 60 minute weekly Yin class with Alex starts Tuesday 4 April at 4pm.  Yin yoga poses apply moderate stress to the connective tissues of the body—the tendons, fascia, and ligaments—with the aim of increasing circulation in the joints and improving flexibility. A quiet, meditative practice that will connect you deeper to body, heart and mind. This class is suitable for all levels.

Pilates Studio Photos - Heather Gunn 046Current clients have priority booking for existing classes until next Monday 27th March.  To make rebooking your class or classes a smoother process now that we have so many classes to offer you, we have a new priority booking system to make this quick and easy, avoiding queues at Reception to pay, and to give us time to offer any unwanted spaces to clients who are waiting.  As usual you are guaranteed your spaces in your current classes, but you do need to register by the end of Monday 27th March please.

If you would like to rebook the same classes you can do this easily:
1. By email – let us know at info@cheltenhampilatesandyoga.co.uk and then you can pay direct by Bacs (details at the bottom) – drop us a line that you’ve done this;
2. By telephone – just call us on 01242 523282 to pay by card;
3. 
In person – you can book and pay for your classes at Reception.

Summer Term dates are Tuesday 18th April to Sunday 16th July inclusive
(excluding half term – 29th May to 4th June)
This is a 12 week term, although Monday classes will be 10 weeks due to the bank holiday on 1st May).  Reformer and Reformer/Cadillac courses will be 6 weeks (4 weeks for Monday classes and 5 weeks for Sunday Reformer) to take us up to half term.

Join Alex Belcourt and gong practitioner Rodger Cuddington for this special event.  Yin yoga for a deeply relaxing practice. Poses are done on the floor and held for several minutes to encourage deep fascial release. Focusing on stillness and surrender to create spaciousness and ease in the body, Alex uses mindfulness for inner contemplation and meditation.  Then a long relaxation, with the therapeutic healing and relaxation benefits of sound waves.  Pre-booking is essential for this class as space is limited. Gift cards at Reception.
Cost is the usual £12, or you can use your pass to pay – plus a suggested £5 donation for Rodger. 

NEW Vinyasa class with Sunny – Wednesdays at 1.30pm

Our new Vinyasa class starts Wednesday 11th January at 1.30pm with Sunny Warbout. This is a 60 minute class for all levels – use your pass or £12 drop in, no need to book. Join Sunny for a practice of mindful strong poses, with a focus on breathing to feel and unlock the connections between mind and body. Sunny has been practising Yoga for over 25 years, and has recently completed her Yoga teacher training with flying colours, with Ian Davis. She has been coming to classes at the studio since we first opened, nearly 9 years ago, and we are delighted to welcome her to the team. Sunny’s smile and infectious energy will leave you feeling energised and spacious.
