Half Term Pilates/Barre Timetable

Everyone welcome, even if you don’t usually come to our Studio and would like to try a class. Half Term classes run Monday 23rd October to Sunday 5th November 2017. They are bookable through Reception only, and we do require payment with your booking please. You can book in to the classes you want at the Reception desk or over the phone. Strength for Women workshop with Alex – fully booked

Saturday 7th October 2-4:30pm. A personalised workshop for women. Cost £25.
Building bone density and retaining muscle mass is essential as we age. Join Alex for an invigorating workshop on body awareness, upper/lower body strengthening (emphasis on joints) and core activation, from a functional movement perspective. Traditional yoga sequences will be slowed down and explored, working around and up to postures (including handstands). Modifications and variations will make postures accessible for everyone. With time for relaxation and a little self-massage at the end. All levels welcome including beginners.You do not have to be strong for this workshop! Alex is here to give you ideas of how to incorporate strength building exercises into your practice.

Welcome back to all our Mat Pilates/Reformer/Barre clients this week – to all the regulars and to the many new clients too, it’s lovely to have you with us.
This Saturday or next at 10:15am come to our Basic Principles of Reformer classes, and discover the fantastic benefits of using these machines. Suitable for complete beginners, you don’t need to have done Mat Pilates to come along, and you don’t have to be fit to start.
Saturday 16th or 23rd September at 10:15am  with Lynne  £15 (9 places max in each class).
We teach everyone on the Reformers, from Gloucester Rugby and other elite athletes, to our absolutely lovely regulars in their late 80s. They really are for everyone. We have an amazing team of teachers and we are very proud of them – excellent qualifications and experience are of course vital, but heart, warmth and genuine caring are qualities we can’t do without in our teachers.

Half Term Family Yoga – Monday 23rd October 4.15pm

Join Jeni Howland for this fun 45 minute Family Yoga class with an Autumn theme. For parents/aunts/uncles/grandparents and children of all ages.
Call to book your place. £6 each. In today’s digitally driven world, Family Yoga is a brilliant way to spend time together away from the TV, computer and phone. A chance to help your children develop healthy, happy habits (and bring a little peace for the grown ups too). Jeni brings a yoga experience for children that is fun, creative and packed full of positive and beneficial experiences.

Our new Self-Practice class with Alex on Sunday mornings

Self-Practice on Sundays (Mysore-style) with Alex 11.30-1.30pm
Our new weekly Mysore-style Self-Practice Sunday class with Alex offers you the flexibility to drop in at any time during the two hours and stay for as long or as short a time as you like. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced yogi, this is a wonderful way to discover yoga or develop your practice. Alex can help you into postures, correct alignment and/or give suggestions for therapeutic exercises to build strength or regain mobility in fragile areas.  Sequences will be available to follow and you can go at your own pace. £12 drop-in or use your pass.

Pilates: One Woman’s Journey to Recovery

You may remember we featured Jess’ lovely client Sue in our June Newsletter.
Here’s what happened next. Cotswold Collections saw the story and loved it, so they asked Sue if she’d like to model some of their new range of leisure clothes.
Sue, 87 (hard to believe) is an exceptional person. Not only is she a devotee of Reformer Pilates but, in her own words, she will try anything. Ready to take the Pilates HiiT in September?

Our brand new HiiT Pilates class starts 12th September.
We have developed a brand new class for you with Sam, introducing the benefits of High Intensity Interval Training (HiiT). The class combines the principles of HiiT with Pilates – good technique, short rest periods – no muscle group will feel left out.

Tuesdays at 12.30pm for 45 minutes starting 12th September – £60 for 6 week course (or £12 per class)
